The Shock Troopers of Reality coalesced in 1992 as a reaction against the commercialization of so called "alternative music" culture. We saw clearly, then, that it wasn't the revolution that would be televised, but its dissolution. Whatever modicum of potential there was in the loosely associated movements would be sterilized, commercialized and homogenized; it was the death of the revolution they were televising.
