The respected print publication was founded in 1981 by Publisher David M. Ross and has steadily grown to its present glossy four-color appearance. In its 26th year, MusicRow was acquired by SouthComm Communications, Inc., a media company dedicated to local and niche news and information. In addition to his MusicRow Publisher/CEO title, Ross became a SouthComm VP and joined the companys Board of Directors. SouthComm is the publisher of The City Paper, Nashville Post, HER Nashville, Business TN and other titles.
