The William Lincer Foundation, a not-for-profit Corporation, was founded in August 1999 by former students and friends as a way to honor the life and career of one of this century\'s outstanding viola teachers and performers. The Foundation seeks to achieve the following goals, pursuant to the raising of sufficient monies: 1) To maintain this Web site, which will serve as a memorial for William Lincer 2) To establish the William Lincer Composer Competition, dedicated to the expansion of the viola\'s repertoire, with prize money awarded from the Foundation.
